MY DREAM, MY FUTURE...

by: Jackelyn Fay Reyno, CPA in the Future.

Imagine my Dream which is below...

“Ma’am? Please wake up. Someone is calling you. You still have a meeting to attend to. Ma’am? Please. Wake up, Ma’am!”

I was awakened by my secretary, who has been trying to wake me up for about five minutes. I looked at the clock. Oh my! It was half-past ten in the morning and I have a meeting at ten! How could I have possibly slept?! Dumb me.

“Ma’am?”, said my secretary. “Do you have anything which you would want to instruct?”

I smiled. “None, thanks. Just call me five minutes before the meeting.”

“Okay.” She turned away.”

Don’t be surprised. My schedule goes this way every day. Well, what so you expect from a Bank Governor of a bank like Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas? Ahuh, I told you so. After finishing BS in Accountancy at St. Paul College of Ilocos Sur, I successfully passed the Board Examination. After years of patience and hard work, I finally became the Bank Governor of this respected depository.

Now, if you’ll please excuse me, I still have a meeting to catch. Tootles!

Okay then, how about that for a dream in the future?

WHAT I CAN DO FOR MY COUNTRY...

Change: It Starts with ME.

I remember the history that U.S. PRESIDENT Barack Obama made. Being the first African-American U.S. President is for sure a great privilege on his part.

And I remember his very own words:

"Change is what we need. Change is now."

These are one of the most memorable words that I have reflected upon. It's true, change is what we really need. And if that is the case, change should be done within ourselves now.

That's why change, starts with me.

How do I start change then? Well, I promise to study harder for my future. I should be more hardworking. Graduation Day is coming near, and I should do me best to build myself the best future I can have. College is the most critical part of my education, and I should do my best to be successful someday.

From now on, I'll remember what the former U.S. President John F. Kennedy said; that I should not ask what my country can do for me, and that I should ask what I can do for my country, instead.

By these changes, I can be one successful CPA someday. Being someone in the future is already a great help to the country. If I have achieved so, I'll feel full BLISS.

KANNAWIDAN FESTIVAL

should always be remembered....

My Kannawidan Festival was not quite enjoyable this year. No matter how badly I want to go to the festival, I cannot go for I need to finish a lot of projects and requirements for school; and there is already a conflict between schedules.

My aunt has asked me a lot of times to go to the Kannawidan Festival. She said that I can see in there all the extraordinary products of the progressive towns of the one and only Ilocos Sur Province. How I wish I could step there even just once. I really feel bad.

At night, different shows and competitions with the special appearances of stars are held. But oh! My parents won't let me stay late at night because they are afraid of the things that may happen at night. I feel worse.

But for sure, another Kannawidan Festival will be held next year, right? I;ll make sure I'll make the most of it when the time comes. Besides, I'll still do my best to go there this year.

Because the KANNAWIDAN FESTIVAL should always be remembered.

MY PRIVILEDGE

January 25, 2011 will never come again....

I have been longing for this day. I thought it was going to be a happy day. But it was more than I thought.

Part of the Vigan City Fiesta was the parade of students and employees of all the public schools in Ciudad Fernandina. That meant CAT Officers are going to attend the parade! It was a bliss to show what other schools haven't got when ISNHS CAT-I Unit is around! Imagine officers wwalking in unison, wherein the Corps Staff are going to wear swords in their sword's band and all! Isn't that wonderful?! That was what happened that VERY SPECIAL DAY.

From ISNHS, we started marching to the starting point of the parade. During the parade, we started showing the crowd our expertise in marching, making "pihit", and more. As usual, at the end of the parade, it made me feel that ISNHS was one ingredient that a parade should always have. We attended a meeting and after it, we went home.

Three of my friends came home for we are going to take the Periodic Exam in Values Education and Social Studies at the same time. After the test was the real fun!

We went to Plaza Maestro and went window shopping at the different stores there. Then, we went to the lagoon to rest. Mu mum came to fetch me and went home.

It was so a tiring day but truly worth it. January 25, 2011 will never come again.

at the END of THIRD QUARTER :)

There are less than fifty days to go before Graduation.
The third quarter has ended.
But hey, I did learn a lot of things.

I have learned more about HTML files. I have learned about the different font attributes: font face, font color and font size.
I have learned about image sources.
I have learned about multimedia files.

Sometimes, it is hard to rush and check on my posts and all, but at the end of the day, I am telling myself that I need to make it. It's NOW or NEVER.

There are a lot of things to learn in ICT!! :)
So better check out on it!

new LIFE. :)

The last year of the first decade of the millennium has ended. And is is time for a change, indeed.

Yes, we need to start a new life, because we have to improve ourselves for the better.

What change should I make then?

1. It is to do better on my studies. Graduation Day is coming near and I need to do my best to have high grades. There is still one quarter, and I will do my best to do so.
2. It is to have a more positive outlook in life. Most of the time, I am pessimistic. Sometimes, this affects the things that I am doing. So, I need to be a little more confident so that I can trust myself. In this way, my works would be better.
3. It is to try hard to keep these promises. I know I can do this. Besides, it is for my own good.

So, what about yours?

The True Essence of Christmas

Christmas is the time when people start putting Christmas lights and Christmas trees in their homes. It is tht time when children and even the elder ones are caroling from house to house. It is the time when children receive gifts from their aunts and uncles. People conduct outreach programs and Christmas programs at this time of the year.

Yet, Christmas is also the time when people love, and care for each other. It is the time when they forgive and forget about the bitter past. It is one time of the year when families get to be whole again, and strengthen the bond that ties them together. And this, is the real essence of Christmas.

A lot of people now are suffering from poverty, that they cannot even afford to eat at least three times a day. They, too, deserve a happy life. That is why just during Christmas, we should let them feel that they are loved, and that they should live a happy life. We should let them experience the true essence of Christmas.

But hey, every single day is Christmas. So, let's spread LOVE!!
